An Overview Of Shana Petrone

Shana (born Shana Petrone) was born on May 8, 1972 in Parkridge, Illinois and raised in Hollywood, Florida with her parents and younger brother. She started singing with her family band from church when she was only 10 years old.

In 1989, 17-year-old Shana released her debut album, "I Want You" which peaked at #165 on the Billboard 200 chart. The title song became Shana's biggest hit song to date, peaking at #40 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #34 on Billboard's Hot Dance Music\Maxi-Singles Sales chart. The follow-up single, "You Can't Get Away" peaked at #82 on the Billboard Hot 100. Another single, "Falling Slowly" was also released. (It's unknown how or if it charted.)

By the 90's, Shana turned to country music and in 1998, she released her first country single, "Heaven Bound" under her full name.
